      1) Hundreds of people are waiting outside an empty movie theatre waiting to run in and claim seats to see Puss in Boots. All entrance to the theatre is through a single turnstile, monitored by an usher checking tickets. When the theatre doors open and people first start moving into the theatre, which transport process does this most resemble (simple diffusion, facilitated diffusion, or active transport) AND WHY?

      2) An hour later, the same theatre is completely filled with a movie-goer in every seat plus another 100 people standing in the aisles and crowding the entrance to the theatre. One last person is outside the turnstile, desperately wanting to get in the theatre. If the usher pushes all the people crowding the door out of the way and shoves the last person inside the door to the theatre, what transport process does this most resemble AND WHY?

      3) When the movie ends, all the movie-goers pour out of the theatre through multiple exits into the empty lobby. If they all cruise easily through the multiple, unguarded exits, with no one blocking their way or monitoring their progress what transport process does this most resemble AND WHY?

      4) In the scenario from Question 3, if we assume that inside the theatre is one biological compartment, and the lobby is a second biological compartment, and after the movie ends, the movie-goers are free to pass freely between the theatre and the lobby as they wish, how many of the moviegoers would we expect to end up in the lobby, and how many would we expect to stay in the theatre? AND WHY?

for each you have to ask – does someone help them as in active transport? Do they move freely as in simple diffusion or do they use only restricted place to pass as in facilitated diffusion?
