Can you tell me what you call the period between one mitosis and the next? I don’t understand the question.
- December 14, 2007 at 4:43 am #79571mithParticipant
phase 1–>duplicate dna–>phase 2–>mitosis
so the question is asking for time between phase 1 and phase 2.

There are some good animations on Mitosis and Meiosis at the following link.

The word I’m looking for has 10 letters in it. This is like a crossword puzzle. The clue is, "period between one mitosis and the next"
- December 14, 2007 at 4:57 am #79574MichaelXYParticipant
Well, check the link I gave you, the answer is there.
- December 14, 2007 at 4:59 am #79575tdog717Participant
I’ve got another one for you. "process by which living things give rise to the same type of living thing". 12 letters.
- December 14, 2007 at 5:22 am #79576mithParticipant
it’s another word for sex
- December 14, 2007 at 5:25 am #79577MichaelXYParticipant
Sure, no problem, what info have you reproduced to find the answer?
- December 14, 2007 at 5:27 am #79578tdog717Participant
Thanks, but I already answered it.
- December 14, 2007 at 5:35 am #79579MichaelXYParticipantquote :it’s another word for sex
But "Not tonight, I have a headache" is more than 12 letters.
- December 14, 2007 at 6:06 am #79580mithParticipant
Irreconcilable differences lol
- December 15, 2007 at 1:00 pm #79650mcarParticipant
I think it’s INTERPHASE.
- December 18, 2007 at 2:12 am #79722volcobParticipant
its a night sleep 😆
- December 18, 2007 at 5:03 pm #79761cracked_docParticipant
REPRODUCTION……

In the cell cycle, the phases other than mitosis are G1, S, and G2 which are all known to be as interphase. G stands for growth.
- January 6, 2008 at 10:16 am #80317MrMisteryParticipant
wrong twice.
the cell cycle is divided between mitosis and interphase.
Mitosis is divided between G1, S and G2. The "G" does not stand for growth, it stands for Gap(the two gaps between interphase, DNA replication and mitosis. - January 10, 2008 at 4:43 am #80419volcobParticipant
well he asked only about that 10 letter word and mcar has had given that answer
