i have been searching everywhere but i cant find an anser to this simple question that dosent take me all around the houses. can anyone tell me
why are D.N.A and R.N.A termed nucleic acids?
is it because of the acidic COOH group? if so where is this group located?
thanx

nucleic, because they are in the nucleus and acids because of the phosphoric acid in the sugar-phosphate backbone 😉
