I am having difficulty with osmotic pressure and hydrostatic pressure. I was doing this question:

The osmotic concentration of plasma proteins in the venous side of capillaries helps reduce the amount of interstitial fluid in tissues by inducing:

Answer: Passive water diffusion along a concentration gradient.

The only thing I know about exchanges between tissue and capillary is that at the arteriole end hydrostatic pressure is greater than ostomic pressure therefore it will move fluid in to the tissue. Where as at the venous end the osmotic pressure is greater and therefore fluid moves back into the capillary from the tissue.

Thank You advance for any help

You are over analyzing this question. The answer is the very definition of osmosis.
