how is photosyntehsis and cellular respiration related/similar ❓

Then I’ll ask you, what is the purpose of homework which is given by teacher to you if you just pass it to other people?? 😉

im homeschooling, and i dont really have anyone to help me out with something i dont really understand. so i thought i would ask someone on the internet.. to see if they could help me out.. and since im homeschooling i dont really have anyone to pass it on too 😕

I didn’t know that homeschoolig was a condition that prevented the sufferer from doing any research. I mean, if you are here, you have access to internet, so maybe you could start making some basic research by yourself, like clicking on the tutorial button on top of this page, or searching a little bit, because this is not the first time that this question come out.
I do not expect you to come up with a perfect answer, although you may, but after that when you come your questions will be way more precise and easy to answer, and since you have shown that you made some research, we will be much more likely to help you.

well have you ever thought that hmmm gee i actually did do research but i just don’t get it? like seriously.. not everyone is super smart at science here. o0o0o0o this isn’t the first time someones asked the same question. what does that have to do with me? like c’mon now.. think about it. how the heck am i supposed to know that someone has asked that before?

Then, tutorials icon located above this window seems a good start for you. Or you can search it in Wikipedia. Just type "cellular respiration" and "photosynthesis" in the search engine..

fine. could THIS be it????? 👿
photosyntehsis is the process where green plants use sunlight, carbon dioxide and water to make food (their by product) oxygen. Cellular respiration is the process where cells use that "food" they take in to release stored energy.
photosyntehsis: 6CO2 + 6H2O + energy –> 602 + C6H12O6
and cellular respiration is the same but in an opposite flow. so it is
602+ C6H12O6 –> 6H20 + 6CO2 + energy.They are related because of the similar chemical reaction.

Yep,
and although you put an evil smiley, looking for those equations I am sure helped you understand a little more.
Now you should try to see what glycolysis and the krebs cycle are, and where they take place. This is the detailed functionment of the respiration
And look for the electron transfer in photosynthesis, how a photosystem works, and where.
You will see that they do not take place in the same organelles, but that they are both related in terms of structure. It could be interesting to see why.
And what form of energy is used in each case? - June 17, 2006 at 5:53 am #50203victorParticipant
Nah, there you go jamfaceee 😀
After you’d seen the basic explainations, then you coul search for more detailed explaination. And believe me, looking for the answers by yourself and then have it discussed here will let those informations stay longer in your mind than just asking people to find the answers for you.. - January 22, 2009 at 12:44 am #88595stepanieParticipant
help i got a big test.
i need to know.
what the process of the cellular respirtion does. - January 22, 2009 at 2:32 am #88600MrMisteryParticipant
you’re kidding right?
It oxidizes glucose to yield ATP. And I think you’re in trouble.
