what is the role of
a) water in photosynthesis?
b) photosynthesis pigment in light harvesting complex
c) photosynthesis pigment in reaction center
for a, i think it is to provide H to produce sugar
i dont understand the difference between b and c - November 1, 2006 at 9:10 pm #57847SU_reptileParticipantquote :for a, i think it is to provide H to produce sugar
Well, although water is used in Calvin cycle, its main role is to supply two missing electrones in P680. In that process it’s split into 2e-, 2H+ and an oxygen molecule that combine with another to form O2 molecule.
For the other things you will need to make some effort maybe to find something. I am 100% sure it’s in every biological textbook and academic physiology, biochemistry or cell structure book.
