Hello Friends..
I need some help for a high school project. The topic is :The adaptationary and evolutionary advantages of various phyllotaxic arrangemanets found in plants. I need data on how the arrangements seen provide advantage over other types of arrangements to that specific plant. I plan to include stuff about the prominence of the fibonacci series in leaf angles and others. Please help. Also ,this is a hands on project. Please suggest some ideas to organise a field study and proper arrangement, analysis and representation of the facts. The project is instructed to be "investigatory". So I need to direct my project like an experiment and then find a definite answer by experiment. Please help.

If you develop hypotheses about the advantages – that one is better for light-gathering or one is structurally sounder – you can make predictions about where you should expect to find different patterns and design a field test for it.
