  There are tons more manufacturers and plasmids, but since I happened to have this page open… But honestly you could do some research of your own, it is not a really hard subject.

  If I recall correctly, archaebacteria are commonly used. The reasoning, I believe, is that they are found in harsh conditions (volcanoes, etc.) and thus denature with greater difficulty.
