Describe several adaptations that might evolve to help members of a species respire better if the popultation becan living continuously for many generations at very high altitudes? (be specific)

This would most likely be natural selection in my mind, however.. many generations would have to mean a lot of generations.. microevolution would occur.. but macro would take a seriously long time..
