I’m new member here….I want to ask something….
what is "Rh" and why it can cause death if "Rh +" meets "Anti Rh -"?Especially for the second child?how is the process that can cause "Erythroblastosis foelates"?
Thank’s…….
I really feel pleased for whom that reply to me…. 🙂 - March 20, 2007 at 2:52 pm #70287RevengedParticipant
Rh is the "rhesus group" on blood cells…
You normally refer for this group by a + or – sign…
So…
AB+ blood is AB blood with rhesus group
AB- blood is AB blood without rhesus groupSo if you were a mother and had a negative rhesus group and you baby had a positive rhesus group… you’d produce anti-rhesus antibodies…
This is why you can’t give someone that is Rhesus negative blood that is Rhesus positive… It also causes Hemolytic disease of the newborn, which is what you are describing…
I don’t know any more than that but I’ve given a link which may help…
