Hi,
I am using pRSETA vector for cloning. I don’t understand why TOP10F’ cells are recommended by Invitrogen, instead of TOP10 cells. Why are recA amd endA strain recommended? I can understand that strains with recA+ tend to be more healthy and to grow faster than recA- strains but why endA strain? In fact endA- strain can significantly improve the quality of the plasmid preparations.
Anyone has any ideas why? Thank you.
