Hi there,
was going over a past exam question and the following came up and was wondering if I was along the right path answering it:
discuss the various ways nutriceuticals might be expected to influence the immune system, both beneficially and detrimentally.
so we had a lecture on immunonutrition covering topics like amino acids and the role they have on immune system (sulphur, taurine, argine), omega 3/6 fatty acids, zinc, copper and I was wondering can I classify these as nutriceuticals?? because technically a nutriceutical is classified as antioxidants, flavonoids, carotenoids etc so what would amino acids come under?
Hope I’m making sense!
cheers,
