  May I ask what is the difference between rickets and osteoporosis?
  As both of them are caused by deficiency of Vitamin D.

  Actually no… Vitamin D deficiency in adults causes osteomalacia…
  Rickets = Lack of vitamin D in childhood
  Oesteomalacia = Lack of vitamin D in adulthood
  Osteoporosis = Due to decreased levels of oestrogen in post menopausal women…
