The various structures of the brain: medulla, reticular formation, thalamus, cerebellum, hippocampus, amygdala, hypothalamus, and the cerebral cortex, including the frontal lobe, occipital lobe, parietal lobe, and temporal lobe. To reinforce the interactive functions of these structures, I’d like you to pick an activity, for example driving or playing cards or ?, select four or five of the brain structures listed, and discuss.

Let me suggest another one: posting on an internet forum. That would includes things like paying attention (to the rules that are posted prominently), thinking (about the question you are about to post and the possible answers to it) and few other things like reading and typing. All those might activate different structure of your brain. Which are they?

Hmm, I wonder what region of the brain is activated when sarcasm is expressed? It’s quite a complex function after all…!
